The Master's Program in Biology at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, was initiated in 1993 and was officially approved by the Regulation of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture No. 577\/DIKTI\/Kep\/1993. The current curriculum of the Master\u2019s Program in Biology (MPBio) at FMIPA UI is the 2024 Curriculum (Rector\u2019s Decree No.1690\/SK\/R\/UI\/2024). The 2024 Curriculum was developed as an advancement of the 2020 curriculum, while still adhering to the national curriculum standards established for higher education, namely the Higher Education Curriculum (KPT). Under the 2024 curriculum, master's students are required to complete a minimum of 54 credits to graduate. There are two programs\/tracks available for students to choose from: the Coursework Track and the Research Track.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    The Program Learning Outcomes reflect the targeted level of academic qualification and are equivalent to Level 8 of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) as stated in Permendikbud 53\/2023, ASIIN Subject-Specific Competences, Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), and take into consideration the criteria for the post-biology cluster set by the Indonesian Biology Consortium (KOBI).<\/p>

    Admission to the Master's Program offers two tracks: the Research Track and the Coursework Track. Each track has a different curriculum but shares the same Graduate Profile.<\/p>

    The curriculum structure of the Research Track consists of 7 (seven) compulsory courses: Literature Review 1 and 2, Research Proposal, Research Result Examination 1 and 2, Scientific Publication 1 and 2, and Thesis. The Research Track curriculum requires students to take a minimum of 54 credits.<\/p>

    The Coursework Track curriculum requires students to complete a minimum of 54 credits (SKS), consisting of 24 credits of compulsory courses and 12 credits of elective courses. There are nine (9) compulsory courses: Integration of Science and Mathematics, Scientific Writing, Integration of Biosystematics and Biodiversity, Ecoscience, Conservation and Bioprospecting, Statistics, Scientific Dissemination, and Thesis.<\/p>

One credit (1 SKS) is equivalent to 1.81 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System).<\/p>
