The Doctoral Program in Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia was initiated in 1997\/1998 and officially approved by the Regulation of the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture No. 256\/DIKTI\/Kep\/1999 on May 24th, 1999. The current curriculum of the Doctoral Program in Biology FMIPA UI is the 2024 Curriculum (Rector's Decree No.1692\/SK\/R\/UI\/2024). The 2024 curriculum was built as a development of the 2020 curriculum, while still following the national curriculum rules set for universities, namely the Higher Education Curriculum (KPT). Under the 2024 curriculum, doctoral students must take a minimum of 88 credits (ICTs) to complete their studies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The vision of the Doctoral Study Program in Biology 2024-2030 that has been set will be achieved through several missions as follows:<\/p>

  1. Organizing quality education, research, and community services, especially in the aspects of conservation and bioprospecting of Indonesia's biodiversity.<\/li>
  2. Producing Doctorates in biology who are able to design and manage research independently to create innovative outputs so that they can play a role at the national and global levels in advancing science, technology, and sustainable development.<\/li>

        The Learning Outcomes of the Study Program reflect the targeted level of academic qualifications and are equivalent to the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) Level 9, the Indonesian Biology Consortium (KOBI), and the Qualification European Framework (EQF) Level 8.<\/p>

        Doctoral Program of By Research and Lecture-Research<\/h6>

        Admission to the Doctoral Program offers two programs: By Research and By Lecture-Research. Each Program has different curriculum, but the minimum credits for graduation is same (minimum 88 credits, equal to 158.4 ECTS).<\/p>

        Research Path<\/h6>
