Profile
I am interested in studying microbial diversity based on culture-dependent and culture-independent methods. In recent years, I employed polyphasic taxonomy approaches, whole genome sequence analysis, phylogenetic, phylogenomic, and genome mining for microbial novel taxa from Indonesia. I am also interested in microbial prospecting by screening for potential enzymes, antibiotics, and bioactive compounds producers. Furthermore, purification and characterization of bioactive compounds and enzymes, as well as their biosynthesis mechanisms by clarifying their biosynthetic gene clusters within the microbial genome.
