Four researchers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) are included in the list of Top 2% Scientists Worldwide 2023. The four researchers are Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Rosari Saleh (Department of Physics), Prof. Dr. Yoki Yulizar (Department of Chemistry), M.Sc., Munawar Khalil, S.Si., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D. (Department of Chemistry), and Dr. Dipo Aldila, S.Si., M.Sc. (Department of Mathematics).
The list of the top 2% of scientists in the world was written by Prof. John P.A. Ioannidis, M.D., Ph.D. of Stanford University. This edition is the fifth edition of the article “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” published by Elsevier.
Top 2% Scientists Worldwide 2023 published by Stanford University and Elsevier BV. Stanford University released the latest version of its standardized citation indicators database of scientific authors (Wednesday, 4/10).
This database provides standard information on citation metrics, such as number of citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, and composite indicator (c-score).
The database groups scientists into 22 scientific fields and 174 scientific subfields based on the standard Science-Metrix classification. Selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists based on c-score (with and without self-citations) or 2% percentile rank or above in a given subfield.
The total number of UI lecturers and researchers included in the Top 2% Scientist Worldwide 2023 category is nine people. 2 people are from the Faculty of Medicine (FK), 3 people are from the Faculty of Engineering (FT), and 4 others are lecturers and researchers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA).
