VISION

The vision of the Master of Marine Science Study Program is "to become an excellent organizer of the Tridharma of higher education in the field of Marine Science, especially marine bioscience for aspects of bioprospecting and marine biodiversity conservation, a supporter of the development of knowledge and technology with a multi- and interdisciplinary approach, and a producer of Masters of Marine Science who are able to play a role and compete at the global level in advancing science, technology, and sustainable development for the people of Indonesia and the world".

MISSION

The mission of the Marine Science Masters Study Program is as follows:

Organizing learning programs that integrate education and research and are oriented towards students through effective learning approaches and optimal use of technology.
Conducting research and community service in the field of Marine Science that is oriented towards solving various community problems and based on appropriate technology so as to produce new innovations that are globally recognized and can be applied in Indonesian and world society.
Producing human resources in the field of Marine Science with integrity and global competitiveness who can provide solutions to problems in society and the environment and are able to manage and carry out research so that they can play a role at the global level in advancing science, technology, and sustainable development.
Increasing educational and research resources through increasing academic and research collaboration by strengthening global networks involving the quadropole helix (academics and research institutions, industry, government, and communities), both domestically and abroad.
Creating a conducive academic atmosphere and scientific atmosphere so that it becomes an attraction for intellectual communities to collaborate in research and education activities with a multi- and interdisciplinary approach.

Educational Goals

Producing graduates who have a deep understanding in the field of Marine Science, especially in marine bioscience for aspects of bioprospection and marine biodiversity conservation, in accordance with the vision of the Study Program.
Providing graduates who are able to integrate education and research and apply multi- and interdisciplinary approaches in developing knowledge and technology in the field of Marine Science, in accordance with the mission of the Study Program.
Training graduates to become leaders and innovators in research and development of technology related to Marine Science that is oriented towards solving community problems, by producing new innovations that can be recognized globally.
Developing graduate competencies in collaborating with various stakeholders, both at the local and global levels, through academic and research collaborations with the quadropole helix, in accordance with the vision and mission of the Study Program.
Cultivating an attitude of integrity, global competitiveness, and managerial skills in graduates, so that they are able to provide solutions to community and environmental problems and can play an active role in sustainable development at the global level.

Graduate Profile

The profile of graduates of the Master of Marine Science Study Program is as follows: "Master of Marine Science who is able to develop science and technology in the field of Marine Science, especially marine bioscience, has a strong character and intellectuality as a lifelong learner and contributes to solving problems in the field of Marine Science independently at the individual and group levels through inter and multidisciplinary approaches".
