It is my honor to welcome you to the Department of Biology.
Caring for the earth, developing knowledge and surviving life is a message that has been passed down since the founding of the Biology Department, FMIPA UI. We believe biological sciences have a big role to play in realizing a sustainable future for future generations.
The FMIPA UI Biology Department is committed to producing graduates who can contribute to the development of science and technology at national and international levels. Through research and innovative learning methods, we educate students to become future leaders in science.
Our research focuses on sustainable biodiversity prospecting. Biology Department lecturers and staff provide the best atmosphere for students to learn, collaborate and innovate. The Biology Department is supported by facilities to support student research. The Biology Department also builds networks with national and international institutions. Through this, academics can connect with professionals in academia and industry.
