FMIPA UI Announces 2023 Main and Category Mapres Winners

After holding the main outstanding student election (pimmapres) on Tuesday morning (March 21, 2023), at the Prof. Dr. G.A Siwabessy Hall, UI Campus, Depok, in the afternoon of the same day, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) announced the main mapres winners.

The announcement was read by Dr. Dewi Susiloningtyas, S.Si., M.Si, Student Affairs Manager of FMIPA UI who in this case is also the head of the implementation based on the decision letter of the jury team, and the minutes of the determination of the winner dated March 21, 2023.

Based on this decision, the jury team determined Dylan Arlen Tunggatama (Actuarial Science 2020) as the 1st place winner, Salsa Muafiroh (Geography 2020) as the 2nd place winner, and Deva Fitrianti Rahayu (Geophysics 2020) as the 3rd place winner.

Furthermore, Dylan as the 1st winner of the FMIPA UI Main Mapres will compete in the next stage, namely the Main Mapres Selection at the UI level which will be held on April 3-6, 2023 including English Selection, Creative Ideas/Innovative Products, Psychological Tests, Interviews for Leading CVs.

In addition to announcing the main Mapres, on this occasion the Mapres category winners were also announced. They are Carla Mariana Nainggolan (Biology 2020) for the Arts and Culture category, Reha Aulia Nisa (Biology 2020) for the Social and Environmental category, Ahmad Haris (Geoscience 2021) for the Sports category, and Fathan Mubina (Biology 2020) for the Entrepreneurship category.

Previously, the finalists for the Pilmapres category had gone through a selection on Saturday (18/3/2023) in the Hall of the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building, FMIPA UI – PT Pertamina (Persero), UI Campus, Depok.

A total of 10 participants in the category pilmpares consist of 1 participant from the mathematics department, 2 participants from the physics department, 1 participant from the chemistry department, 3 participants from the biology department, 1 participant from the geography department, and 2 participants from the geoscience study program.

Dr. Dewi congratulated the winners and all finalists. He also expressed his gratitude to the leadership who had fully supported this activity, and to the jury team for their hard work in carrying out objective assessments.

"Congratulations to the champions, for the main mapres champion, good luck in the next stage," said Dr. Dewi after reading the announcement of the champions.

He added, "As the chief executive, I would like to thank the leadership of FMIPA UI who have fully supported this event, to the committee and jury who have worked together to make this event a success from start to finish."

Meanwhile, the stages of the 2023 FMIPA UI Outstanding Student Selection consist of presentations and discussions in English, Creative Ideas in the form of Scientific Papers (KTI) for the Main Outstanding Student Finalists, and an assessment of Excellent CVs.

Pilmapres is organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI), Secretariat General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology as an effort to encourage students to not only excel in academics, but also to become creative, innovative, highly competitive, and characterful individuals.

Reporting from pusatprestasinasional.kemdikbud.go.id This year, Pilmapres for Undergraduate Program participants has changed, namely synergizing the assessment of various abilities needed in society. The assessment of outstanding students' excellence will be evaluated from the aspects of knowledge and skills as well as life skills, including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and other superior characters.

In addition, the selection procedure will be carried out in stages, based on the principle of equality between PTN and PTS, and based on regional representation which will be continued with life skills training at the final stage.
