FMIPA UI Holds Tarhib Ramadhan 1444 H, Dean: Balance Worship and Work, Worship and Study

Monday (20/3/2023). In order to welcome the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) held a Ramadan tarhib at the Sinarmas Hall, Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building, FMIPA UI – PT Pertamina (Persero), UI Campus, Depok.

The event started at 10.00 WIB and was opened with the reading of the holy verses of the Qur'an by Raihan Khanz Pidia Suryana (Geography 2022).

In addition to being attended by the ranks of faculty and department leaders, educational staff, lecturers, and students in the FMIPA UI environment, this event also invited Ust. Achmad Solechan, S.Si., M.Si., the Chairperson of the UI Mosque to give a sermon.

Dean of FMIPA UI Dede Djuhana, Ph. D. in his speech invited all levels of leadership, academics, and residents of FMIPA UI to welcome the holy month with joy and at the same time express gratitude to Allah SWT, because with His blessings and gifts the extended family of FMIPA UI can gather again face to face in tarhib Ramadhan, and be reunited with the holy month full of glory in 2023.

"Ramadan is before our eyes, Ramadan has entered our hearts to be great and noble guests until Eid al-Fitr later. God willing," said the Dean.

"What an extraordinary blessing if we all can be delivered in the Holy Month of Ramadan 1444 H. So, it is fitting for us to always be grateful for this blessing of health," he added.

He emphasized to the ranks and extended family of FMIPA UI to maintain a balance between worship, work, and study activities.

"We really hope that all levels of leadership, both in the Faculty and in the Department, lecturers, education staff, and students will remain enthusiastic, continue to balance matters of worship and work, worship and study, during the month of Ramadan," said the Dean in front of the extended family of FMIPA UI.

The event was then continued with a sermon delivered by Ust. Achmad Solechan, S.Si., M.Si. and ended with a gathering of the entire FMIPA UI family by shaking hands and forgiving each other.
