FMIPA UI Successfully Organizes UTBK-SNBT 2025 Smoothly and Orderly

Depok, May 5, 2025 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) successfully closed the series of Computer-Based Written Exams – National Test-Based Selection (UTBK-SNBT) 2025 without any significant obstacles.

The exam, which lasted for 22 sessions from April 23 to May 4, 2025, demonstrated the thorough technical and operational readiness of the entire implementation team. All sessions ran according to schedule, with a high and disciplined level of participant attendance.

“This success is the result of solid cooperation between the Location Manager (PJL) and the Deputy Location Manager (WPJL), IT team, supervisors, room technicians, material team, and all other supporting staff. We are grateful that all stages can run according to expectations,” said Annisa Nurul Fitri, PJL UTBK at FMIPA UI.

During the implementation, continued PJL, cross-team coordination was carried out routinely to ensure that each session ran smoothly. Any potential technical obstacles could be identified and handled quickly. Daily internal evaluations are also carried out to maintain the quality of exam services, including routine briefings to ensure that understanding of procedures remains uniform across all sessions.

On the other hand, Awal Setiawan as WPJL explained that although preparations have been carried out thoroughly, high vigilance is also very important to anticipate cheating practices and the implementation of this UTBK.

This anticipation is carried out by the security team and supervisors by conducting multiple physical checks. The team conducts checks using metal detectors and direct checks, namely by checking shirt pockets, pants pockets, and other areas that may be used to hide cheating aids. This check is carried out before participants enter the exam room, while still paying attention to the ethics and comfort of participants.

"Although preparations are carried out thoroughly, supervision must still be strict. The security team and supervisors conduct physical checks of participants before the exam and are ready to take firm action if violations of the rules are found," said Awal.

UTBK-SNBT at FMIPA UI is carried out in two sessions per day and is spread across two locations, namely the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building and the Geography Department Building. FMIPA UI has prepared 131 main computer units and 14 backup units as an anticipatory measure against technical disruptions.

In addition to ensuring technical aspects, FMIPA UI also pays attention to participant comfort by providing supporting facilities such as air-conditioned waiting rooms and safe storage services. All UTBK implementations are carried out under strict supervision to maintain the integrity and security of the computer-based exam system.
