FMIPA UI Holds 2023 ONMIPA-PT Selection at Regional Level

The 2023 National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad for Higher Education (ONMIPA-PT) has entered the regional selection stage. A total of 20 cross-faculty participants at the University of Indonesia (UI) who passed the previous stage, namely the 2023 ONMIPA-PT selection at UI level, took part in this regional selection stage on May 23-24, 2023.

The participants are the 5 (five) best students from each of the fields of study being competed, namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

The regional selection stage of ONMIPA-PT 2023 for UI participants was carried out online from the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UI - PT Pertamina, UI Campus, Depok.

Previously, as preparation for participants in facing the regional selection stage, FMIPA UI had provided support in the form of intensive guidance by internal lecturers who are also experts in the fields of study being competed. The announcement of the results of this regional selection stage will be released on June 5, 2023 via the Indonesian Talent Development Center Website.

Participants who pass the regional selection stage will then proceed to the final round at the national level, which will be held face-to-face at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) on June 13-17, 2023.

The national level competition will select the 20 best students per field with the following details: 3 gold medal winners; 5 silver medal winners; 7 bronze medal winners, and 5 honorable mentions.

ONMIPA-PT is one of the higher education talent event activities organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI) National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia as a forum to develop student creativity and innovation in the fields of Mathematics and Science. The implementation of the 2023 National Olympiad in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for Higher Education (ONMIPA-PT) will be carried out online at the regional level and offline at the national level.
