The area that is usually filled with private four-wheeled vehicles belonging to the leadership on weekdays turned into a place full of excitement.

That morning, more than two hundred academicians and residents of FMIPA UI consisting of lecturers, students, employees, alumni, and canteen vendors gathered to enliven the fun walk activity in order to welcome the 62nd Anniversary of FMIPA UI which falls on December 21, 2022.

Fun walk or leisurely walk is the main agenda in this event. Previously, the participants had registered themselves online. online to be able to join the fun walk. Participants who register are given a participant number which also serves as a lottery number. doorprize.

"So if you don't register for the fun walk, you won't be able to get a door prize number," said Erning Setiyono, M.Si., as the chief executive to the FMIPA UI Public Relations team.

He continued, in addition to strengthening friendship, this activity also aims to rebuild solidarity between academicians and FMIPA UI residents, considering that after the last two years since the Covid-19 pandemic, the FMIPA UI extended family has been on hiatus from all face-to-face activities including the celebration of a series of dies natalis activities. The fun walk began with group exercise as preparation for the fun walk. The exercise was guided by an instructor in the main stage area. Afterwards, the Dean released hundreds of participants on the line start near the security post of the faculty administration center building. Participants then walked along the route determined by the committee, namely the Rotunda, - Ukhuwah Islamiyah Mosque - Faculty of Social and Political Sciences - Library - Rectorate - Water Tower - back to the starting point. The event was even more lively with the appearance of music and songs on the happy stage, various competitions, and door prize draws.
