Depok, September 12, 2025 – Professor of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Indonesia (UI), Prof. Supriyanto Ardjo Pawiro, M.Si., Ph.D., has received international recognition through the prestigious Fellow of the International Organization for Medical Physics (FIOMP) 2025 award, which he was recently granted. The award was officially announced by the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP) on September 9, 2025, through its official website.
The FIOMP award was granted as a recognition of Prof. Supriyanto’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of medical physics at the global level, particularly through his dedication and active role in IOMP and its regional organization, the Southeast Asian Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (SEAFOMP). His nomination was submitted by the President of SEAFOMP, Prof. Dr. Chai Hong Yeong.
As a recipient of FIOMP, Prof. Supriyanto—fondly known as Prof. Supri—is entitled to use the FIOMP title after his name, as well as receive an honorary certificate and pin. A brief profile highlighting the contributions of the FIOMP awardees will be published in e-Medical Physics World (eMPW), the official publication of IOMP.
“This award does not belong to me alone, but also to the community of medical physicists in Indonesia. I hope this achievement can inspire the younger generation to continue advancing this field both nationally and internationally,” said Prof. Supri in an interview at the UI Campus, Depok.

Commitment to Global Collaboration
As part of efforts to strengthen human resource capacity in medical physics, Prof. Supri has consistently promoted professional certification, enhanced radiation safety in healthcare services, and fostered international partnerships to support capacity building in developing countries.
