The Best Mathematics and Chemistry Departments of FMIPA UI in Indonesia according to EduRank 2023

World ranking agency EduRank named the Mathematics and Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) as the best department in Indonesia.

Apart from being named the best department in Indonesia, the Mathematics Department of FMIPA UI as recorded on the page https://edurank.org/math/id/ also ranked 210th in Asia and 835th in the world. Meanwhile, the Chemistry Department of FMIPA UI on the page https://edurank.org/chemistry/id/ recorded as being ranked 418th in Asia and 1143rd in the world.

EduRank uses database Microsoft Academic as a proxy to take scientific publications and citations, then display them in a graph to calculate the weight of each publication. The independent ranking institution based on metrics also uses the same approach as Google and other modern search engines to calculate the reputation of individual websites and backlinks to universities from other sites.

In addition, EduRank also makes assessments based on research results, non-academic excellence, and alumni influence. EduRank looks at the profiles of alumni who have contributed more to the country and the world through the Wikipedia page in making assessments.
