FMIPA UI Strengthens Public Services, Wins Best Area Award at the 2026 UI Zone of Integrity Awards

Depok, October 15, 2026 — The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), has received the Best Area for Improving Public Service Quality award at the 2026 Zone of Integrity (UI ZI) Awards. This achievement recognizes FMIPA UI’s ongoing efforts to improve service quality while strengthening transparent, accountable, and user-oriented governance.

The award was presented by UI Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., to FMIPA UI Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Prof. Dr. Ivandini Tribidasari Anggraningrum, S.Si., M.Si., during the 2026 UI ZI Awards ceremony organized by the UI Compliance Agency at Balai Sidang, UI Depok Campus, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

The UI ZI Awards serve as an evaluation platform for Zone of Integrity initiatives across Universitas Indonesia, encouraging faculties and schools to strengthen integrity and improve service quality. The Zone of Integrity designation recognizes government institutions committed to establishing Corruption-Free Areas (Wilayah Bebas dari Korupsi, WBK) and Clean and Service-Oriented Bureaucratic Areas (Wilayah Birokrasi Bersih dan Melayani, WBBM) through bureaucratic reform, particularly in preventing corruption and improving public services.

The evaluation of Zone of Integrity development covers six areas of change: change management, business process and procedural restructuring, civil service human resource management, performance accountability, strengthened oversight, and improved public service quality.

In the public service area, the evaluation covers service excellence culture, service standards, user satisfaction assessments, and complaint management. These aspects are essential to ensuring continuous service improvement in response to users’ needs and feedback.

This year’s achievement marks continued progress for FMIPA UI in the same awards program. At the 2024 UI ZI Awards, the faculty received Second Honorable Mention, followed by third place in 2025. In 2026, FMIPA UI earned the Best Area for Improving Public Service Quality.

FMIPA UI began its Zone of Integrity development initiatives in 2023 and further strengthened these efforts in 2026 through the UI Zone of Integrity Strengthening and Outreach Program. During the event, FMIPA UI Dean, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si., emphasized that Zone of Integrity development goes beyond fulfilling administrative indicators. It also involves cultivating a workplace culture grounded in honesty, transparency, and a strong commitment to service.

This commitment was further reinforced through a mentoring session on completing the Zone of Integrity Evaluation Worksheet (Lembar Kerja Evaluasi, LKE), held in June 2026 at the Auditorium of the FMIPA UI Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building. The session brought together all members of the FMIPA UI Zone of Integrity Team representing the six change areas to align their understanding of the evaluation indicators and improve the quality of supporting documentation.

Prof. Tito stated that the award for public service quality recognizes the collective efforts of the faculty’s change-area teams and educational staff who interact directly with service users.

“Public service is the face of the faculty that is closest to our students, lecturers, and partners. This award shows that the gradual improvements we have implemented are beginning to be felt by service users. We will continue to uphold these improvements as part of our workplace culture, rather than treating them merely as requirements for evaluation,” said Prof. Tito.

One of FMIPA UI’s initiatives to improve public service quality is the digitalization of administrative services through the development of the mipa.sci.ui.ac.idapplication. The platform enables FMIPA UI’s academic community and educational staff to access a range of services, including academic correspondence, student-related correspondence, service requests to faculty units, room reservations, and the submission of reports and complaints.

The application also supports FMIPA UI’s efforts to strengthen data management and internal administrative governance. Through a digital-based system, administrative processes are expected to become more organized, properly documented, and easier to track, thereby supporting efficient, transparent, and responsive services.

These governance improvements are also supported by the ISO 9001:2015 certification obtained by FMIPA UI’s Faculty Administration Center (Pusat Administrasi Fakultas, PAF). The certification supports the implementation of a quality management system, including the refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and consistent administrative processes. Through standardized procedures and continuous evaluation, FMIPA UI continues to promote orderly and accountable administration as part of its efforts to improve service quality.

In addition to strengthening systems and procedures, FMIPA UI seeks to enhance the competencies of its educational staff through training sessions, professional development activities, and lokarya (workshop). These initiatives aim to broaden knowledge, develop practical skills, and improve staff readiness to deliver professional and responsive services. By aligning system improvements with human resource development, the faculty aims to further enhance the quality of its public services.

This recognition serves as motivation for FMIPA UI to continue strengthening its Zone of Integrity initiatives toward achieving Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and Clean and Service-Oriented Bureaucratic Area (WBBM) status. These efforts include refining service standards, improving complaint management, and conducting ongoing user satisfaction evaluations.

In line with its spirit of Science Reborn: Unggul Impactful untuk Indonesia, FMIPA UI remains committed to fostering a culture of integrity and delivering professional, transparent, and responsive services that address the needs of its academic community and the wider public.
